The William Inglis Hotel is Sydney’s iconic destination with rural soul, celebrating a passion for equine culture and a heartfelt hospitality for generations in the making. Construction of the new $110m precinct is to be completed in 2018.

The Brief:
Core was engaged to provide structural engineering design services for the façade elements on the structure.

These elements included zincalume panels for the façade elements, surrounded with banded steel sections, and oval louvres with outrigger sections fastened into the underlying precast substrate.

Our Process:
The client originally provided some rough sketches and typical section details. Core took the relevant information and sized up the correct framing elements, fasteners, and subframing to withstand the appropriate design loadings.

Core was also involved in further technical assistance when a specified product was not available and changes had to be made.
