The Project:
A number of the balconies were presenting signs of excessive cracking along the original brick balustrades. In addition, each balustrade had a capping tile on top which was loose and in many cases at risk of dislodging and falling onto the public space below.
Core was engaged to:
- Assess the extent of works required.
- Determine how to provide balcony waterproofing and compliant balustrades.
- Provide balustrades to the Owners preference that complimented the building
Our Process:
Extensive consultation with the Owners was required to ensure satisfaction in the finished product. The type of balustrade and the requirement of the glass stipulated by the Owners resulted in specialty glass being procured and installed.
The Outcome:
The project was completed to a high degree of quality with the contractor nominated by Core delivering beyond the expectations of the client.
